History and Modernity: Rustavi International Motorpark Invites You to Unforgettable Races
Rustavi International Motorpark, located just 20 km from Tbilisi, is a landmark destination for motorsports enthusiasts in the Caucasus region. Built in 1978, this circuit was the last project of its kind in the USSR and for many years hosted rounds of the USSR Circuit Racing Championship.
After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the circuit fell into disrepair, but in 2009 a new era in its history began. Thanks to the efforts of Shota Abkhazava's company and a large-scale reconstruction completed in 2012, Rustavi International Motorpark was transformed into a modern circuit that meets FIA Category 2 standards. Even Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili attended the opening ceremony of the renovated circuit.
Today, the circuit is a complex structure with a length of 4,140 meters and includes 12 turns (7 left and 5 right). Traffic on the track is counter-clockwise, which adds a unique touch to the racing competitions. The road width varies from 12.5 to 21.5 meters, and the start-finish straight reaches a length of 667 meters.
