Rustavi International Motorpark: Georgia's only FIA Category 2 circuit, 20 km from Tbilisi

Rustavi International Motorpark is a professional, international-level circuit in Rustavi, 20 km from Tbilisi. It is the only circuit in Georgia certified to FIA Category 2 standards, allowing it to host most international racing series. The circuit was built in 1978 as the last race track in the USSR. In the 1980s, the venue hosted stages of the USSR Circuit Racing Championship, but after the collapse of the USSR, the facility was abandoned.In 2009, the track was purchased by Georgian race car driver Shota Abkhazava at a state auction. After a large-scale reconstruction, the complex reopened in 2012 under a new name. The opening ceremony was attended by Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili at the wheel of a Formula 3 car.

The length of the main circuit (configuration A) is 4.14 km, the number of turns is 12 (7 left and 5 right), the direction of travel is counterclockwise. The minimum width is 12.5 m, the maximum is 18.5 m, the length of the start-finish straight is 667 m. There are also configurations B (2.14 km) and C (1.338 km). The complex includes a 3,000-seat indoor grandstand, a 2,000-seat outdoor grandstand, a 15,800-square-meter paddock, a 28-box pit building, a restaurant, a VIP box, a press center, and a Georgian motorsports museum.
